Located on the top of the Oak Ridges Moraine, at the Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival, guests can learn how maple syrup was made over 400 years ago. The festival also has horse-drawn carriage rides, a replica pioneer cabin, and pancakes with maple syrup (gluten-free pancakes available too). PLUS, satisfy your sweet tooth at the taffy shack!

Sample sweet taffy-on-snow and take a tractor wagon ride through the farm’s working sugarbush. Guides will lead you through maple syrup’s rich history and guests will have the chance to explore on their own. Also featuring a petting zoo and best-of-all – a sweet shop!

As the winter thaws, approximately 600 trees will be tapped, the sap will be simmered in large kettles until it’s transformed into sweet syrup. Maple Town sells hot pancakes and there are guided wagon rides through the sugar bush.

Brooks Farm’s Maple Syrup Festival runs sugar bush tours through the farm’s working forest. Visit the sugar shack and catch a train or wagon ride back to the indoor pancake house.
