The St. Joseph's Health Centre Foundation is holding its 7th annual Toronto West Halloween Fest Sunday.
This street festival is a fundraising community event, consisting of a Halloween festival, with a "Trick or Treat" Parade for all ages.
The event will be held on Bloor Street West between Runnymede Road and Willard Avenue starting at 11a.m and running until 4 p.m.
The festival will bring about some road closures including:
- Bloor Street West - full closure between Runnymede Road and Willard Avenue
- Beresford Avenue - soft closure north and south of Bloor Street West to the first laneway
- Durie Street - soft closure north and south of Bloor Street West to the first laneway
- Windermere Avenue - soft closure north and south of Bloor Street West to the first laneway
The roads will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
There will also be a rolling road closure from approximately 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., to accomodate a children's costume parade for approximately 250 kids.
That parade will begin at Bloor Street West and Durie Street, east on Bloor Street West to Beresford Avenue, south to Deforest Road, west to Durie Street, north to Mayfield Avenue, west to Windermere Avenue, north to Bloor Street West, and then back east to Durie Street.
Motorists should expect delays in the area. TTC buses will be re-routed in the area and may encounter delays.
The festival will go ahead regardless of weather conditions.
