But, that wasn't the only shooting Wednesday night.
Two other shooting incidents happened just minutes apart in Etobicoke.
Constable Li says around 6:15 p.m., Toronto Police were called to Kipling Avenue and Silverstone Drive, following reports that two people had been shot.
An adult male and adult female were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds. The extent of their injuries is unclear at this time.
Police say several suspects were seen fleeing the area.
Then about 10 minutes later, around 6:25 p.m., officers were called to the area of Martin Grove Road and Pittsboro Drive, for reports of shots fired.
There are reports this may have been a drive-by shooting.
Constable Li says the victim checked themself into hospital and contacted police.
All three investigations are still in the early stages.
It's too early to know if any of the shooting incidents are connected.
