OPP have impounded twelve cars and charged their drivers with stunt driving after calls started flooding into 9-1-1 around Noon.
People were calling about dangerous drivers with vehicles racing, cutting people off and even driving on the shoulder starting on the 407 and continuing onto the 400.
"It's an extreme danger to the public" says OPP Constable Randall Haddrall tells CP24, "There's families out there on the highway, they're not expecting people to be racing and cutting in and out."
Not every car suspected of taking part in the amaetuer race was stopped, there was 40 to 50 cars reported to be driving aggressively and Haddrall says they mananged to pull over between 25 and 30 cars.
