A man is dead after he was hit by a car on a Markham street Saturday afternoon.
York Regional Police say he was walking in the Denison Street and Mallory Avenue area around 4 p.m.
A York Regional Police sergeant told CTV News Toronto that at least two vehicles, possibly more, hit him.
The man in his 50's was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two drivers remained at the scene of the collision.
Denison Street is closed between Mallory Avenue and Aldergrove Drive while the Major COllision Bureau officers investigate.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call police.
