It's turned into a traffic nightmare.
A section of Harbour Street in downtown Toronto will remain closed for the foreseeable future because of a pane of glass that came down earier this week.
That section, is essentially an extension of Lakeshore, and usually handles the traffic coming off the Gardiner at York.
But now, because of that closure, traffic is being north or south on York.
And there's a problem with that: York is down to one lane in either direction because of long-term construction.
Bigger problem: the closure could be in effect until Thursday.
The issue is a piece of glass that fell from a building in the area, and a second pane that appeared to be in jeopardy of falling.
Couple that with the storm we had earlier this week, and police say it's too dangerous to send someone out to try and repair it.
So we're now waiting for mother nature to help out and melt some of the ice.
