The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is the latest GTA board to change its online learning model for elementary students, adopted at the start of the school year.
It will change to a mixed classroom model, merging elementary students learning in-person, with those learning virtually.
School officials say it will allow students to switch between the two models at any time.
Other school boards have made changes as well, since the recent spike in COVID-19 cases prompted more parents to switch their children to the online learning stream.
On Wednesday, we told you that the York Catholic District School Board had announced that it was changing its virtual learning model for elementary students to a hybrid one, because of a shortage of teachers.
The new model will combine students learning in-class with those learning online, through a livestream.
But, speaking to our media partner CP24 Thursday, this parent - like many - said she's not happy to learn about yet more changes.
"To be honest, when I received the message yesterday, at first I was shocked that they would be kind of trying this new method at this point, but also just outraged. I mean, these students whose parents who chose the remote learning route, have been doing this for a month now. They've gotten over the hurdles of getting adjusted to online learning and to now be thrown in to - thrown this curve, that they're going to now be part of a different classroom, a different set-up, is just ridiculous."
