As the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health looks into how a killer managed to slip away, we are learning of yet another man, with a history of violence, who managed to disappear from the facility.
27-year-old Ahmed Sualim was found not criminally responsible in a string of armed robberies in 2012.
Toronto Police said he disappeared yesterday morning. He was reportedly found by about 6 p.m.
In a release, police said they were "concerned for the safety of the public."
The Toronto Sun reports that Sualim has a history of trying to run away.
He failed to return twice while out on accompanied passes.
It's not clear how he escaped this time.
The news comes less than a week after we learned that killer Zhebin Cong escaped CAMH and few out of the country.
