The Chief of Staff for a Liberal MP from Sudbury might not have to answer to the police for the vandalism he admitted to online.
Mike Whitehouse posted on social media about peeling anti-carbon tax stickers from gas pumps that are part of a campaign by the Ford government to oppose the federal tax on pollution.
Police in Sudbury tell NEWSTALK 1010 as of Wednesday morning, no complaint has been filed.
Authorities say because the situation involves only private property, an investigation would only be thrown into motion if someone directly involved brought the case to them.
The provincial government says it has no interest in filing a complaint.
Whitehouse admitted to peeling the stickers this week.
