Toronto Police have made an arrest in a west end shooting last month that left two people dead.
The shooting occurred in an apartment building at 55 Emmett Avenue, near Jane Street and Weston Road, at around 1:30 a.m. on June 29th.
Police responded to a call for the sound of gunshots.
When they arrived on scene, officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
32-year-old Ahmed Mohamud died at the scene while 25-year-old Christopher Teape died after being taken to hospital.
Early Saturday morning, Homicide detectives executed a Criminal code search warrant at an address. A firearm and ammunition were alleged to have been located and seized.
Police have arrested and charged 33-year-old Denzil Kemoy Williams of Toronto with Two counts of First Degree Murder and Attempted Murder.
Williams will appear in court Sunday morning.
