Parents in Brampton can breathe a sigh of relief knowing a man accused of attempting to kidnap a child from a daycare is off the streets.
Peel Police have arrested a 19-year-old man from Brampton and charged him with child abduction.
They couldn't tell us where he was arrested or how officers found him. He will appear before a judge tomorrow.
He's accused of walking into a daycare near Kennedy and Bovaird on Monday, saying he was a relative.
Staff asked him for ID and he said he had left it in his vehicle. He was ultimately denied his request to see a child whose name he knew.
The child and their mother were shown a photo of the man and both had never seen him before.
