Authorities in Halton Region believe they’ve arrested the man who stabbed a 91-year old retirement home resident to death.
32-year old Dazel Henry of Brampton was arrested on Friday and charged with the first-degree murder of Edmund Ferrari of Oakville.
Halton Regional Police say Ferrari was out for a walk last August when the ‘unprovoked’ attack happened.
Henry was arrested while in a jail cell in Toronto. He was being held on 5 charges connected to a string of violent incidents that happened over the summer.
Allegations are Henry stabbed a woman in a fast-food restaurant parking lot, assaulted a taxi driver, and stabbed a 19-year old man in the shoulder.
Police say so far, they haven’t found anything to suggest why Ferrari might have been a target.
