Peel Police have arrested one of the three men accused of beating up a man with Autism in Mississauga last week.
Parmvir Singh Chahil was found hiding out in Windsor and put into handcuffs at around 2 a.m. "Investigators were contacted and they quickly learned that it was the suspect. He was arrested and brought back to Peel region for processing," says Bancroft Wright with Peel police.
A 44-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man, the younger brother of Chahil, have also been arrested and charged with being an accessory after the fact. They have been released on a Promise to Appear and have court dates scheduled in Windsor in May.
There's no indication how long Chahil was in Windsor before being arrested.
The first suspect identified by police, Ronjot Singh Dhami, was supposed to surrender on Wednesday but that has been pushed to Monday, for some reason.
Police have very little to go on when it comes to the third and final suspect. Investigators believe he may go by the name Jason.
