Barrie MP Alex Nuttall is calling former PC leader Patrick Brown downfall an "inside job."
He made the comments to reporters at Parliament Hill on Wednesday.
"According to my constituents, this is in fact was an inside job, what transpired over the past week," he said.
Nuttall says PC MPPs are "elites" who tried to appoint the next premier, "circumventing democracy."
He is also criticizing the party's review of its membership.
The party's executive is meeting tonight to discuss next steps in the search for a new permanent leader.
