For years, sports fans have been begging for playoff teams in Toronto.
And now that they have them, they may want to go back to the way things were.
Both the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Raptors are in the post season in their respective leagues, and with the Toronto Blue Jays kicking off the new baseball season, there's a problem: traffic.
Things will start to get busier this weekend, with the Jays and Raptors both hosting afternoon games at the ACC and the Skydome. Then, the Leafs play in Washington in the evening on Saturday, so there will be a party outside of the ACC.
Getting people out of the downtown, becomes a problem.
"What we've done in the past is to close off main streets in the area, to allow for pedestrians to walk to their cars, to get out of the area." says Constable Victor Kwong
Right now, that means closing down a section of Bremner and York at the conclusion of the games at the ACC.
And he says the plan is a moving target with more road closures a possibilty.
Keep in mind too, that the ramp to York-Bay-Yonge from the Gardiner, closes on Monday.
That means Wednesday might be tricky too. The Jays are hosting a fan favourite in the Red Sox, and the Leafs are home for game three in their series against Washington.
Kwong is urging everyone coming down to see games in person, or to join the outdoor parties, to use patience.
"Yes we do have to deal with more people. Yes we do have to deal with heavier traffic, but at the same time this is a great time to take in what Toronto has to offer."
