Bear sightings in Whitby this morning. Garden/Rossland/ Pringle Creek in wooded creek areas .Police & MNR are aware.

Durham Regional Police say they got four to five calls from people who live the in Pringle Creek area of Whitby about a bear wandering around Sunday morning.
The sightings happened around 7 a.m. in the area bordered by Dundas Street, Brock Street, Garden Street and Rossland Road.
Police are asking people to not approach the bear if they see it and call them to report the animal and where it is.
Residents are reminded to remain vigilant. If bear is sighted, do not approach & call police.
