Here's something to mull over as you sip a glass of wine or beer over the weekend...how much is too much?
A new study, said to be the largest alcohol study to date, suggests no amount is good for your overall health.
Over 500 researchers were involved in this study which looked at data on premature death and disability from over 300 diseases in 195 countries between 1990 and 2016.
The conclusion?
Any potential benefits of drinking are offset by higher risks of cancer and other diseases.
The study found that alcohol was responsible for nearly 3 million deaths in 2016 alone.
That also includes things like cardiovascular and infectious diseases as well as injuries.
About 2.4 billion people around the world drink alcohol.
