From a city seeing an increase in gun violence comes a story that could have easily added to the long list of victims.
Toronto Police are looking for a teen who they say was playing with a gun in his bedroom.
The weapon went off and nearly killed his sibling.
This happened on Saturday afternoon.
Police allege 16 year-old Tyrese Francis was in his bedroom at home near Jane and Sheppard.
The bullet from the gun went through his bedroom wall and lodged in a mattress his sibling was laying on.
He's wanted on several gun charges and failing to comply with probation.
The names of youths are usually protected by law, but police went to court to make the name and photo of this accused gun-toting teenager public.
Police say the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
