A full day of nobody in, or out, at a high school in Brampton.
The reason? A potential threat that appeared on twitter on Friday morning.
David Suzuki Secondary School near Chinguacousy and Queen St. West in Brampton was placed under the hold and secure, out of an abunbdance of caution.
Peel Police wouldn't elaborate on the threat, and told NEWSTALK 1010 they hadn't made any arrests, because "no incident has occured at the school," according to a spokseperson.
The Peel District School Board released the following information to parents:
Hold and secure at David Suzuki SS
At about 10:15 a.m., Peel Regional Police directed our school into a hold and secure, as a precautionary measure, while they conduct an investigation after receiving reports of a potential threat. As part of the hold and secure protocol, all doors are locked so no one can enter or exit the building. Students and staff are safe and we are continuing our regular school routines inside the school.
