Toronto Police say they've arrested and charged a man from Brampton after a 17-year-old girl was allegedly forced into sex work and trafficked throughout the GTA.
Investigators say the girl was forced to abide by rules set out by the suspect and had to turn all her earnings over to him.
He also took control over all her actions and movements and threatened her with a firearm to make sure she followed his orders.
Investigators with Toronto's Sex Crimes Human Trafficking Enforcement Team were notified of the allegations on December 27, and following assistance from Peel Police who issued search warrants in the area, made an arrest the following day.
Kristan Peter Miller, 26, is charged with 13 offences, including trafficking in persons under 18, forcible confinement and uttering threats. He made a court appearance on Friday.
Police say there may be more victims and they're asking anyone with information to call 416-808-7474 or Crime Stoppers.
