A woman found with life-threatening injuries in her Brampton home Monday has died.
Peel Regional Police confirmed late Wednesday afternoon that the 58-year-old woman, located suffering blunt force trauma inside her home on Checkerberry Crescent just after 4:30 p.m. Monday afternoon, succumbed to her injuries in a Toronto hospital just before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The victim's 64-year-old husband, who was originally located inside the home and placed under arrest for Attempted murder, will now likely face a more serious charge.
The Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have taken carriage of the case.
It's Peel Region's 20th homicide of the year.
