Ontario is reporting 704 new cases of COVID-19 in the province today, which is a slight increase compared to yesterday, but it is below the seven-day average of 747, coming into today.
Six of the last seven days have come in below 800 new cases.
Toronto is reporting 244 new cases, while Peel has 168 new infections and York Region has 103 new cases today.
Four new deaths have been reported, which pushes the provincial total up to 3,050. All four of those deaths have come in the 60+ age group, which is where 95% of the deaths have happened.
54% of the new cases have come in people who are 40 and younger, while those in the most at-risk age group of 60+, made up 17% of the new infections. That's a slight increase.
607 cases have been listed as recovered, which means the number of active cases is now at an all-time high for the pandemic. 6,047 people are currently infected with COVID-19. 39% of those active cases are in Toronto.
The number of people in hospital is up slightly, to 252, which is an increase of five. The number of people in ICU is down slightly to 69, and the number of people on ventilators also down a touch to 40.
