Ontario reported 977 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday, a decrease of 38 from Saturday's total, but the 4th time in a week that they were above 900.
The overall case totals are now nearing 77,000.
Health officials warned Friday we can expect about 800 to 1,200 new cases every day for the next month or so.
The percent of tests coming back positive was at 2.6% slightly higher than the previous day mark of 2.4%. Compared to a month ago, on September 29th, the percent of positive tests was 1.4%.
65% of the new cases came in the GTA. Toronto had 279, down from 325, Peel 238, down from 298 and York 113, up from 88.
Just over 37,000 tests were completed and 864 more cases resolved.
There were another nine virus related deaths reported, upping the overall total to 3,145.
