Time to maybe start psyching yourself up for the drive or even planning an alternate route - ahead of the extra traffic delays that are sure to come on the Gardiner Expressway, starting this week.
As of 10 o'clock Monday night, the usually busy off-ramp from the Westbound Gardiner to York-Bay-Yonge will be completely shut down until at least mid-September for extensive rehabilitation work.
Earlier ths month, the city announced that extensive repairs are needed.
Also keep in mind that in order to safely compete the construction, the westbound on-ramp at Jarvis, which runs underneath the westbound York-Bay-Yonge ramp will be closed overnight for 12 nights - from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. from July 16th until July 31st.
