Big night for Jonah Gadjovich and Team Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championships in Buffalo.
Gadjovich, a native of Whitby, scored two goals powering the Canadians to a 6-0 shutout over Slovakia.
With the victory Canada improved to 2-0 at the tournament.
Sam Steel,Jordan Kyrou,Taylor Raddysh and Maxime Comtois rounded out the scoring for Canada, which outshot the Slovaks 52-15.
Canada is back on the ice on Friday when they face off with the tournament hosts, Team USA, as the teams head outdoors to New Era Field for a highly anticipated outdoor game.
