The Canada and U.S. border is remaing closed for another 30 days, a mutual decision by both governments.
The current extension of the closure was set to expire on August 21 but will now be in place until September 21st, at least.
It was March 21st the ban on non-essential travel was first introduced.
Temporary foreign workers, the flow of trade and commerce, and vital healthcare workers such as nurses who live on the other side of the border are permitted to cross under the agreement.
As of June 9, foreign nationals who are immediate family members of either Canadian citizens or permanent residents can enter Canada to be reunited, under a limited exemption to the current border restrictions.
