It looks like the majority of Canadians would like the federal government to slow down when it comes to the rollout of legalized marijuana.
A new poll by Dart Insight for the National Post, shows that nearly 6 in 10 Canadians would like to see legal pot delayed by up to a year.
69% of the respondants to the poll are worried that the black market will continue to thrive.
Most have concerns about provinces not being ready to deal with stoned drivers.
When it comes to children being around it, 67% feel adults with children should be banned from smoking pot in their own home. That includes a full 70% of women asked.
The Prime Minister recently announced that pot would become legal as of October 17th.
The survery was done between June 8th to the 13th and asked more than 25 hundred members of an online panel. The results are considered accurate to within 2.2 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
