It wasn't exactly the parking spot that was designated for an East York home.
A car, reportedly travelling at a high rate of speed, crashed into the front of a home on Chisholm Avenue at around 4 a.m. Sunday morning.
The vehicle was reportedly eastbound on Lumsden Avenue when it lost control, mounted a curb, took out some road signs and crashed into the front of the home.
The lone occupant of the home, owner Carolyn Cockburn, was asleep upstairs and was unharmed, but clearly shaken up as she told our media partner CP24.
"I was asleep and I could hear some vehicle that was going fast and then there was the big impact. You know I was sort of in a daze."
Cockburn added she received some help from her neighbours to exit her home, happy to be okay, but still trying to figure out how this could have happened.
"I'm still just kind of in shock trying to take it all in. Having a car in your dinning room it's unsettling".

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, but later showed up in hospital with minor injuries.
Traffic Services is investigatiing the accident along with engineers, who will be looking at the structural damage to the home.
