By next Thursday almost 1,500 workers at Casino Rama could walk off the job.
Everyone from dealers, cashiers, slot workers, hotel, valet and entertainment staff.
Their union and employer are both at the table trying to hammer out a new agreement.
If one can't be reached, 95 per cent of workers have voted in favour of striking.
One of the main sticking points is that Casino Rama employees are the lowest paid of all casino workers in the province and the pay difference is quite significant. "In some situations it's $3 to $4 an hour in some classifications where it's comparable from one workplace to another so it's not just a matter of a few cents," says Unifor President Corey Dalton.
He says shifts have significantly been reduced for part-time workers and they're being sent home early regularly.
As with most bargaining, if it looks like a a deal may be reached by the deadline talks could continue if an extension is granted.
