Investigators with Toronto Fire say they have not been able to determine the exact cause of the massive blaze at Yonge and St. Clair last winter.
The six-alarm fire at the Badminton and Racquet Club took more than 24 hours to get completely under control, and forced several businesses in the area to temporarily close their doors.
The investigation into the blaze is now complete, but while officials say they were able to confirm it started in a mechanical room, the exact cause has been classified as "undetermined."
"Due to the extent of damage in the area of origin, various potential ignition sources (electrical in nature) could not be eliminated as the cause of the fire," a statement reads.
Investigators say that nothing suggests it was a suspicious blaze.
The extent of damage has been estimated at $10-million.
