The lawyer representing the young woman accused of tossing a patio chair 45 storeys off a downtown Toronto balcony says infamy has been 'difficult' on his client.
Greg Leslie says 19-year old Marcella Zoia has been expelled from the dental hygienist program she was enroled in and has lost friends over her viral video.
Leslie adds that the 'extremely embarassing' fiasco has also driven a wedge between Zoia and her mom.
He says he hopes to settle Zoia's case without going to trial, but that could change, Leslie says, if the Crown insists on jail time.
Zoia faces 3 charges, including mischief endangering life.
The accused wasn't with her lawyer at Friday's court hearing.
Her case will be back before a judge on April 26th.
