NEWSTALK 1010 has learned that a man from Mississauga has been charged in connection with a security breach at Queen's Park.
49-year old Michael Doyle is accused of being behind the wheel of the car that on Tuesday morning drove up the pedestrian walkway on the south side of the property.
No one was hurt.
Allegations are Doyle made threats to the security officers who intercepted him, but authorities will not share details on the nature of those threats.
Toronto Police officials have insisted that there was never a threat to public safety.
Doyle faces 2 counts of uttering threats and one count of public mischief.
He made his first court appearance on Wednesday.
Officials at the Legislature said this week that the incident will be included in discussions in an ongoing review of security procedures and protocols.
