It's going to be the first time that a Chick-Fil-A will open outside of the US, and it's happening here in Toronto.
The restaurant has been heavily critisized already, because of the alleged beliefs of the CEO of the company.
Dan Cathay has said in the past, that he believes in the “biblical definition of the family unit”
But a video has surfaced on social media, allegedly showing a mouse running around, behind the locked doors of the restaurant.
NEWSTALK1010 reached out to Toronto Public Health, who indicated they'd seen the video too and had already sent inspectors to the location at Yonge and Bloor, to check things out.
Sylvanus Thompson, the Associate Director of Healthy Environments at Toronto Public Health, responded in a statement:
The investigation included a more detailed focus on pest control given that the nature of the complaint was regarding a mouse on the premises. There was no evidence of current or past pest concerns to substantiate the complaint. The premises were in compliance with all pest control and other requirements of the Food Premises Regulation
In short, they didn't find any mice, nor did they find evidence of mice, inside the building.
Chick-Fil-A is expected to open on Friday.
