York Regional Police say a 6-year-boy has died after being struck by a vehicle at Taylor Mills Drive and Newkirk Road in Richmond Hill.
The collision happened around noon. Police say the child collided with a moving truck while riding his bike.
They say the vehicle remained at the scene and the driver was taken to hospital.
Police are asking any witnesses to come forward.
