City staff say that water levels are receding "more slowly than hoped" after flooding caused the closure of the Toronto Island Park.
Portions of the island park are still scheduled to reopen on July 31st, but the city says it could be sooner or later, "depending on conditions."
Staff say the water level is about 30cm above where it was before the issues started in April, down from more than 80cm in the late spring.
The plan is to reopen sections of the park by August, but staff say some areas will stay closed for the entire summer, including Olympic Island, Gibraltar Point, Hanlan's Beach and parts of Centre Island.
