Durham Police have released new images of the lone suspect recently charged in a horrific attack on a woman in Whitby, in the case there's other victims of his.
Last week, police announced the arrest of 21-year-old Anthony Doiron-Francis in connection to the attack on July 28th, when a woman was assaulted while out walking in a wooded area.
The 50-year-old was found the next day with serious injuries and remains in critical condition.
After being charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and aggravated sexual assault, DRPS spokesperson Dave Selby says they've released new images of the suspect as a precaution.
"We don't have any information to indicate that there are other victims, but we just want to make sure," he said, adding he has connections to Ottawa and Burlington.
"If someone sees his face or his body type, it might bring back a memory of being followed for example or being harassed, so that's the kind of information we'd like to get a phone call on," he said.
The woman's family is requesting her name not be released out of privacy, though they did made some comments to reporters last week when charges were announced.
They said they were thankful she's alive and expressed gratitude to the community and police for their assistance and support.
