A Toronto man has now been charged after allegedly pulling out a knife and threatening officers at police headquarters.
The incident happened during the lunch hour on Wednesday.
Police told NEWSTALK 1010 that a man walked in through the main entrance, put a bag down at the security check-in, and pulled out a knife.
He then allegedly said he was there to kill officers.
One of the court services officers pulled out his baton, another got the 25 civilians inside headquarters into the gift shop for safety, the third ran to get armed officers.
Police officers arrested the man at gun point, and he surrendered peacefully.
40-yea-rold Hugh Carl Persad faces seven charges, including carrying a concealed weapon, assaulting a peace officer while threatening to use a weapon, and uttering death threats.
He is to appear in court Friday.
