Toronto Police are looking for the person responsible for a daylight shooting in the east end of Toronto.
Cops say they were called about the sounds of gunshots on Midland near Finch, at around noon on Tuesday.
When they arrived on scene, they found shell casings on the ground.
It wasn't until later, they found a victim, who is expected to live.
What they haven't been able to find, is the shooter, and they also don't have a reliable description of the person who pulled the trigger.
Several schools in the area were placed in a hold and secure, meaning it's operations as normal inside the school, but people aren't allowed in or out of the building.
Those schools include:
- Monsignor Fraser College (midland avenue campus)
- Henry Kelsey Senior Public school
- Francis Lieberman Catholic High School
- Albert Campbell Collegiate Institute
The 19-year-old man shot, is in hospital and is expected to recover.
