TSN - Canadian sprinter Andre de Grasse is out for the remainder of the season with a strained hamstring, his agent Paul Doyle confirmed.
The injury will force the Canadian champion to miss the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London and a final shot at racing Usain Bolt, who has said he will retire at the conclusion of the racing season.
De Grasse was injured during training on Monday an MRI confirmed that the injury was worse than initially thought.
He is expected to need four to six weeks to recover.
