A Toronto judge will not be deliver her decision in the third murder trial for Dellen Millard until the fall.
Dellen Millard has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the death of his 71-year-old father Wayne Millard.
The judge-alone trial heard that Wayne Millard was found dead in his bed with a bullet in his brain on Nov. 29, 2012.
The Crown alleges the younger Millard killed his father because millions in potential inheritance money was being squandered on a new aviation business for the family company, Millardair.
The defence says Wayne Millard's death was a suicide.
Justice Maureen Forestell will rule on the case on September 24.
Dellen Millard, who has spent much of the last five years in and out of the prisoner's box, appeared calm in court on Thursday. Now sporting a beard and glasses with a cord, he wore a grey sports coat, white shirt and what looked like a wooden pendant around his neck.
Dellen Millard has been convicted of first-degree murder in the deaths of Tim Bosma and Laura Babcock. Though he has filed appeals, the sentences in both cases will keep Dellen Millard behind bars without the possibility of parole until at least 2063.
