A Raptor fan ended up getting stabbed following a series of altercations that started with an argument over Monday night's basketball game.
Toronto police tell NEWSTALK 1010, the 26 year-old victim was watching the game at a restaurant near Yonge and Richmond with friends. They started going back and forth with a group of Golden State Warriors fans and police had been called there a couple of times for fights.
Things had cooled off until the Raptor fan was accused of stealing a necklace from the other group and was stabbed in the leg while getting into an Uber.
The driver took off and parked in front of a hotel at Richmond and University to get help.
The victim went to hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive.
The attacker is still out there, police did not have a description of the man they are looking for but he is believed to be in his 20s.
