Toronto Police are investigating a disturbing beating caught on video, that resulted in a teacher being injured.
It happened on March 19th, reportedly in a classroom at Lord Dufferin Junior and Senior Public School.
Video posted online shows two students punching and shoving the man.
What's even more shocking, the accused are both 13 years-old.
Constable Allyson Douglas-Cook telling Newstalk1010 tonight that the teens have each been charged with assault.
"The teacher had been involved in an altercation with the students, which led to him being assaulted. Units, of course, attended and they investigated. A couple days later, the two boys who were involved - two 13 year-old boys - then surrendered to police."
The teacher went to hospital for treatment. His injuries were non-life-threatening.
In a statement to the media, TDSB spokesperson Ryan Bird said the board cannot comment on specific disciplinary actions but, "in general, physical assault can result in suspension and possible expulsion under the education act."
