A double stabbing in the city's West end has left one person dead and another in hospital.
Toronto Police spokesperson Gary Long told NEWSTALK1010 they were called to the area of Redgrave and Marting Grove Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
"We got on scene and we discovered there were two people that were having an altercation, a female tried to break up the altercation and one of the males was stabbed."
Long confirms the second male then took off towards Highway 401 at Islington, causing an accident before he was eventually found.
"That's my understanding he was involved in possibly a couple of collisions, not too far from the area."
The first victim was rushed to hospital on an emergency run, but succumbed to his injuries, becoming the 76th homicide victim in Toronto this year.
The second male was also taken to hospital with serious injuries, his condition was not known.
The female involved only suffered minor injuries.
Police also confirm they are not looking for any suspects in connection to the stabbings.
