Toronto police have charged a driver who was involved in a crash that killed a motorcyclist last month.
A 35-year-old woman was killed when two motorcycles and a car collided on the Bayview Ave extension near the Evergreen Brick Works on a Saturday evening.
Police say all three were travelling northbound.
The driver of a Honda Accord was trying to make a U-turn at a curve in the road, after leaving the off-ramp from the DVP, when the motorcycles crashed into the side of the car, according to investigators.
Police say the driver of the Honda was making an illegal U-turn.
The female motorcyclist was trapped under the car, and later died in hospital. A 46-year-old man on the other motorcycle received non-life threatening injuries.
39-year-old Kugatheesh Rasaratnam of Aurora has been charged with dangerous driving causing death.
