This was a recipe for disaster.
Provincial Police stopped a transport truck early Wednesday morning after it was spotted driving the wrong way on the QEW through Mississauga.
Officers were called around 3 o'clock in the morning for the truck, moving at highway speed in the wrong lanes between Cawthra and Er in Mills Parkway.
It wasn't until nearly eight kilometers later, the truck was pulled over.
The driver, a 55-year-old man from Quebec, wasn't drunk. Instead, police say he was simply following his GPS instructions.
He's since been charged with careless driving.
