Police say a 28-year-old man is dead after his car hit a school bus carrying a team of rugby players Friday.
Durham Regional Police say they responded to a call about a collision between a car and a school bus at about 5 p.m. Friday, after reports that a black car was driving aggressively in a rural area north of Oshawa, Ont.
They say the car veered suddenly into the opposing lane and hit the school bus head-on.
Investigators say that none of the 16 people on the school bus were hurt, but the driver of the black car was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Police have not released the name of the deceased.
Investigators say they believe drugs or alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, as weather conditions were clear at the time.
