A pursuit that started on the westbound 401 and continued on to Highway 10 in Mississauaga ended after the vehicle hit two other cars trying to evade police.
OPP say it started around 2:15 a.m. Saturday when officers from the Port Credit detachment were on the westbound 401 near Highway 10 conducting speed enforcement.
OPP Sg.t Kerry Schmidt says a vehicle travelling "well in excess of the speed limit" came through the zone and when officers tried to stop the vehicle it exited at Highway 10 and tried to get away from police.
Schmidt says a short time later the driver hit two other cars. The vehicle finally came to a stop. The driver was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.
The driver is facing multiple charges including dangerous and stunt driving, fleeing police and possession of a controlled substance.
