Durham Regional Police are putting out the call for anyone with information in the alleged sexual assault that happened in a mall in Oshawa late last month.
Cops say around 5 o'clock in the afternoon on June 30th, a teenage girl says she was walking with a friend in the Oshawa Centre on King Street West, when she was approached by a man.
Police say he allegedly touched her inappropriately, and then continued to follow her out of the mall.
He allegedly touched her again, before turning and running back into the mall.
"The female victim was with a friend as well, and she witnessed this as well, so we're quite convinced this is a real event and we're trying to find out who this guy is." says Dave Selby, a spokesperson for Durham Regional Police.
Police have described the suspect as a white male in his late teens. He is believed to be about five-foot-seven and has long, dirty-blond hair with a “scruffy appearance.” He was seen wearing a brown or grey shirt, khaki shorts, a baseball cap, and was carrying a long board.
