Toronto Police are dealing with the 41st homicide of the year in the city.
And for the 3rd time in about a week, Weston Road is front and centre of a crime scene.
This time in Humber Summit, where a man was shot early Sunday morning on Toryork Drive and died of his injuries.
The man was found outside 172 ToryYork Drive, an industrial area with mostly auto shops and dealerships.
Duty Inspector Norm Proctor told our media partner CP24 the call for the shooting came in around 5 a.m.
"Police arrived on scene, located this individual. He was worked on, but unfortunately pronounced deceased at the scene."
Proctor added several witnesses were around the industrial area at the time of the shooting, but so far none have stepped forward.
"We do know that there's witnesses who knew what happened, so we'd like them to come forward."
As for the connection to the recent Weston Road shootings, Proctor was unable to confirm if the three are related.
"That will be looked at. There's no indication at all this time that that's the case."
