Residents in the east end of the city were left in the dark for a few hours Saturday.
An area bounded by Danforth Avenue, Sherbourne Street, Lake Ontario and Coxwell Avenue lost power around Noon.
Toronto Hydro spokesperson Tori Gass confirmed to Newstalk 1010 that roughly 7,000 customers in the area were without power.
"We seemed to be having an issue at a station level and we lost our supply of power coming from Hydro One. When we lose power from them (Hydro One) that means we've lost power that's going to our customers."
It appears faulty equipment may be to blame for the outage, but Gass adds an investigation will be conducted by both Toronto Hydro and Hydro One to pinpoint the cause.
"In this type of situation what our goal is always to get the power back on, customers need their power, especially on a cold snowy day like today."
Just before 3:30, full power was restored to all Toronto Hydro customers.
